A Call for Unity, Ending the Genocide, and Thwarting Annexation and Displacement

Time is of blood, and history will not be merciful

To the steadfast and resilient Palestinian people everywhere,
To President Mahmoud Abbas, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization, President of the State of Palestine,
To the leaders of Palestinian national action inside and outside the homeland,

 We, the undersigned individuals and organizations engaged in Palestinian civil and community work, join our voices with all the initiatives, movements, and calls that demand the immediate and unhesitating achievement of Palestinian national unity. We pledge to continue this work and apply all forms of political, popular, and legal pressure until it succeeds.

 Unity, based on national, democratic, and resistance principles, ensuring genuine partnership, has now become a condition to ensure the survival of the Palestinian cause. This is because the Palestinian people are facing the most heinous act of genocide targeting the annexation of what remains of Palestinian land, the expulsion and displacement of the Palestinian people from their homeland, and the liquidation of their achievements, foremost of which is the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), the legitimate representative of the Palestinian people in all their locations, the national entity uniting and embodying Palestinian identity. The Palestinian cause is being turned from a national liberation and self-determination cause into a humanitarian issue controlled by the occupying state and regional and international guardians, reviving the era of mandate and tutelage alternatives that the Palestinian people lived through after the Nakba of 1948. It also covers up American and Israeli plans to liquidate the Palestinian cause in all its aspects.

Based on the above, we demand the following:

First: Implementing the Beijing Declaration, which imposes the will of the Palestinian people on all parties, answering the question of the "the day after”, achieving the Palestinian interest by immediately starting to form a national consensual government from national competencies, with a national reference, based on a national program that preserves Palestinian rights and interests, is feasible, and activates and strengthens the temporary leadership framework of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) until elections are held as soon as possible at all levels, and the PLO’s institutions are restructured to enable it to effectively represent the Palestinian people everywhere in the best possible way.

Second: Give the highest priority to providing the means for resilience and survival for the people and the cause, halting the genocide, annexation, displacement, and apartheid schemes targeting the people in the West Bank, Gaza, and inside Palestine, liquidating the refugee issue, confiscating and colonizing the land, Judaization of Jerusalem, and working on the liberation of all prisoners.

Third: Provide all forms of material and moral assistance to our people in Gaza, Tulkarem, Jenin, and all targeted areas, which are being subjected to all forms of collective crimes under the eyes and ears of the entire world, to provide the necessities for relief, recovery, treatment, safe housing, and start the process of reconstruction without unjust political stipulations.

Fourth: Form a unified Palestinian delegation to negotiate on behalf of the Palestinian people and the PLO, whether it concerns halting genocide, the withdrawal of occupying forces, prisoner exchanges, reconstruction, or striving to embody the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination, which includes their right to end occupation, realize the national independence of the State of Palestine, and exercise the right of return for refugees.

Fifth: We affirm the Palestinian people’s right to resist in all forms, provided that this resistance is under the leadership of the unified legitimate national leadership and embodies a nationally agreed-upon strategy.

Sixth: While we praise all forms of support and solidarity with our people, especially in steadfast Gaza, we stress the need to continue and expand solidarity and support movements, work to advocate for the just and morally superior Palestinian cause, isolate and besiege the occupying state, impose sanctions on it, expose the positions of countries that support the aggression, especially the U.S. administration, as this is the guaranteed way to thwart the genocide and liquidate the Palestinian cause.

The Palestinian people and their national institutions in all their forms face existential and decisive dangers, which requires putting aside all individual, factional, and partisan differences and interests, prioritizing the supreme national interest. The people are calling you! the land, the people, and the cause are in danger, time is of blood, and history is unforgiving.
